Essay Competition - Science topics

An essay competition was organised by me in Shri Ganesh Vidyamandir-Mapusa  for the students of std 9th. (January 2016)

Following  topics were given-

•  Science and technology - A boon or bane?
•  Pollution

Students were asked to write an essay in about 250 words. 

Charts - Stars and the Solar System

Teaching aids (Diagrams/Drawings) were made by me in school to teach students pf std 8th. Unit:- Star and the solar system. I made the lesson interesting and easy to the level of students with the help of these charts.

Plantation activity

Plantation was carried out in the school premises by students of class 8th.

Science Assignment - The seed

Assignment was given to students of std 5th based on the lesson.Students were asked to find out different types of seeds n stick it on a chart-paper.students showed a great interest while doing this activity. Students were able to identify different types of seeds used by us in daily life.

Science Exbition

An exhibition of science charts and models was conducted at shri. Ganesh Vidyamandir-Mapusa in January 2016. All students were asked to visit the exhibition in batches. I along with other teacher trainees explained all the charts to students.

Following charts were shown to the students--

1. Circulatory system
2. Digestive system
3. Nervous system
4. Excretory system
5. Respiratory system
6. Heart
7. Brain
8. Eye

All the students from 5th to 10th std were benefited from this activity. 

Poster competition

A poster competition was organised in Shri. Ganesh Vidyamandir-Mapusa, in January 2016 for the students of 5th to 7th std.The topic was Importance of trees in our life.

HIV-AIDS Awareness talk

HIV-AIDS Awareness talk

An Awareness talk on HIV-AIDS was conducted by me along with my peers in St. Xavier's High school, Moira Bardez, in association with Primary Health Center Aldona- Goa. Dr. Rupali (Aldona PHC) was invited as guest speaker to deliver a talk about HIV-AIDS. Students from std 8th to 10th were present for this session. Dr.Rupali explained what is HIV and AIDS, its causes,symptoms, preventive measures etc. Students were free to ask any doubts in their mind.The students were highly benefited from this session.
